Pilling & Co is proud to have offered skilled Stockbroking and Portfolio Management Products for over three centuries.

Long before anyone conceived the term ‘investment platforms’ we pioneered the development of Personal Equity Plans (PEPs) and their replacement Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs), we helped to define the development of this special market nationally. Now the focus has widened to include Self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) as an adaptable home for your retirement savings or Junior ISAs (JISAs) as the first choice in tax efficiency if you want to build investments for the under 18s. JISAs are themselves a development from Child Trust Funds (CTFs). Although new CTFs cannot be opened they can be transferred to us from other providers.

However, we do not just give you this platform of open-architecture products that allow you the widest investment freedoms we can also advise how you invest within them. If you want sound advice from seasoned investment professionals we have an investment team who will help you to build and monitor your own portfolio. Their services are described in more detail on the Portfolio Management page but out of this department have grown two services that are very popular and have their own standalone brochures.

The Pilling Ideal Portfolios (PIPs) are a set of model portfolios that began in 2001 and have a strong and long performance record. The AiM Portfolio is a specialist portfolio to help people reduce their estate’s exposure to inheritance tax (IHT). It comprises stocks from the UK’s junior stock market to achieve this. Both services have dedicated information that you can access here.
