DJ RBA Review May Tinker With Board Operations, Capital Economics Says -- Market Talk

0635 GMT - Momentum is growing for a review of the RBA's functions and policy approaches. Calls have come from the OECD for the RBA's first deep review in many decades and there appears to be traction for it in Canberra. Capital Economics says a review would amount to little. It doubts any review would result in a change to the RBA's 2%-3% inflation target. But the central bank could be forced to put more emphasis on house prices, reduce the frequency of board meetings and strengthen the role of external board members, CE adds.
