Friday preview: China CPI in focus
The market spotlight will shift back towards Asia at the end of the week.
China's National Bureau of Statistics is expected to announce that the annual rate of consumer price gains in the Asian giant accelerated to 0.2%, against -0.2% in the month before.
At the factory gate level, price increases were seen picking up from 1.7% to 3.5%.
Stateside meanwhile, the focus will be on factory gate price data for March, which are expected to reveal that inflation in that part of the economy accelerated from a year-on-year pace of 2.8% for February to 3.8% in March.
Across the Channel, investors' attention will be on the latest industrial production figures out of Germany, covering the month of February.
Industrial output figures for that same month are also scheduled for release in France and Spain.
No major economic reports will be published in the UK.
